First two and half hours we follow the mule track out of Ouaneskra and on to the village of Tachedirt. On the far side of the village the track begins to climb steadily up some 850 m to Tizi N’Tacheddirt (3172 m). The rocky path keeps to the left hand side of the riverbed, zigzagging steeply up towards the south face of Jebel Angour where we will be awarded with an astonishing panoramic view.
For the next two hours, the path continues down past ancient, the colour of the landscape gradually changes from a pale coffee color to red and then to green until we reach Labbassen village (2030 m). Just outside Labassen village you will enjoy your field picnic. In the afternoon we will have two hours hike down the valley to the Timichi village, where we will have our dinner in a traditional Berber house.
Timichi to Setti Fatma
4 to 5 hours hike through the valley full of cornfields and walnut groves. We will pass through Tiwediwe, Anfli and Tadrart. There are fantastic views down onto village terraces. We will have our picnic close to the famous Setti Fatma village and reach our vehicle in a half an hour to return back to Marrakech.
